The Africa investor Tourism Investment Awards were created to showcase Africa's opportunities and achievements in the tourism sector to the rest of the world, collectively raise awareness about Africa as a tourism destination and reward those groups developing the African tourism industry as a vehicle to drive sustainable economic growth. The winners of the 2011 Tourism Investor Awards will be announced during a prestigious Gala ceremony during the 2011 Africa investor Tourism Investment Summit, held in association with the Mpumalanga Provincial Government and the Mpumalanga Economic Growth Agency, and taking place from the 21st to the 22nd of February 2011 in Mpumalanga at the same venue.

The Africa investor Tourism Investment Awards run alongside the Africa investor Tourism Investment Summit. The Summit will being together international investors, project promoters, Ministers of Tourism, Commercial Property and real estate financier and city planning officials. The summit will include over 50 speakers, all leaders in their specialized fields, aiming to make the programme and networking as interesting and diverse as possible. There will also be a project sponsors exhibition showcasing projects and opportunities from across Africa, along with pre-arranged one-on-one meetings for tourism project developers and investors.

Cost of attendance is US $500 per person
